Pendekatan Teologis Terhadap Relasi Spiritualitas dan Psikopatologi

Abstrak
Penelitian ini mengkaji hubungan antara spiritualitas dan psikopatologi melalui perspektif teologi sistematika dan psikologi klinis. Kajian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan pendekatan psikopatologi modern yang lebih berfokus pada dimensi biologis, kognitif, dan psikososial, sehingga sering kali mengabaikan aspek spiritual dan teologis dalam pengalaman penderitaan manusia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif berbasis studi pustaka dengan pendekatan reflektif-teologis dan analisis interdisipliner terhadap literatur teologi, psikologi, spiritualitas, dan kesehatan mental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas dapat berfungsi sebagai faktor protektif maupun faktor risiko dalam kesehatan mental, tergantung pada kualitas relasi individu dengan Tuhan. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa konsep-konsep teologis seperti Imago Dei, kejatuhan, penebusan, penderitaan, dan pengudusan memberikan kerangka interpretatif penting dalam memahami gangguan psikologis melampaui aspek disfungsi emosional dan kognitif semata. Penelitian ini menawarkan model integratif teologis-klinis yang menempatkan spiritualitas bukan sekadar mekanisme coping psikologis, melainkan sebagai fondasi ontologis dan teologis dalam proses pemulihan manusia secara holistik.
